Audio, Photo and Video
PSP can be used to playback and interrogate standard MP3 sound and MP4 video files. An onboard microphone can work with applications such as Skype for audio conferencing. PSP has a camera peripheral allowing the recoding and storing of video and image files. Use the PSP camera to record video for field trips, class debates, sports and drama analysis as well as MFL trips. Capture still images for class presentations, art classes or biology dissections. The PSPs system’s zoom and 180 degree rotation feature enables you to examine images in amazing detail. |
Internet
PSP has a wireless Internet browser working with open format web programmes like HTML, XML, Flash and JavaScript. There is also a built in timer to download audio and video RSS feeds. This will allow students easier and immediate access to academic web sites and Virtual Learning Environments which is now mission critical to the delivery of the online curriculum |
Display
PSP has a ‘TV out’ connection allowing the content displayed on the PSP to delivered collectively to a class on an interactive white board or projector or played out on a TV screen at school or at home. |

PSP plays a whole range of different audio formats including ATRAC, MP3, WAV and WMA, video formats including AVI, MP4 and MPG, image files including JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG and TIF, and interact with other file formats such as WORD, TXT files, Excel Spreadsheets and HTML files using Media Manager software (again downloadable from www.eu.playstation.com). |
